INFORMATION-ABOUT ME
‘I am searching for my own language.’
‘It is sometimes a soft questioning, sometimes a repressed struggle, sometimes a quiet and sharp defiance.’
‘I don't believe in ‘having to choose’, I just want to get closer to the ‘real me’.
‘My creations are not meant to define who I am, but to give me permission to be who I am.’
HELLO!
I'm Jiatong Jiang (Nina), a visual storyteller from China currently pursuing Illustration at University for the Creative Arts.
My practice is a two-way dialogue on canvas - using brushes as both a microscope for self-reflection and a megaphone for social narratives.
Through semi-fictional visual metaphors, I transform personal experiences into collective allegories. Confusions about identity, intergenerational conflicts, and emotional creases in urban life become symbolic theaters in my works. While experimenting with diverse themes, I'm developing my visual lexicon between acrylic textures and digital vectors.
Welcome to JiangNina's creative lab, where unfinished thoughts are displayed as open invitations for resonance beyond the frame.
